The AM Nursery is for children who will turn three years old by December 31 and offers an initial introduction to the joy of learning, practicing
routines and group socialization. We create a safe, consistent, age-appropriate,
and fun learning environment. The program provides opportunities to explore
art and play materials, nature and human relationships. We provide basic
guidelines that give children a safe place to make self-motivated choices
for play, thus building independence and self-help skills. |

AM Nursery Goals:
- Guide development of a strong and positive sense of self through experiencing
acceptance, nurturance, consistent limits, success and competency.
- Provide an abundance of language activities to enhance vocabulary
and comprehension, to stimulate the use of language in communication
and idea exchange.
- Promote large motor usage and develop confidence in the use of the
body.
- Provide occasions and guidance for developing positive social skills.
- Offer a wide range of activities introducing the child to basic experience
in art, science, number concepts and music.
- Help our children develop respect for self and others, the school
and its equipment and materials, and begin in the development of a sense
of conservatorship for the planet and its life forms.
