Fire Relief Opportunities

Hello Parker Community,

We know it’s been a difficult week with all the devastation happening around us from the fires from north to south and the mass shooting in Thousand Oaks. During these challenging times, it’s important to reflect on what we do have and how a strong community can overcome tragedy. Parker School continues to be that safe, reliable, strong community through thick and thin. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding of the schedule changes this week. We know it’s not easy to find alternative child care and understand the challenge of creating endless indoor activities to keep us all in the green zone. At the end of the day, we’re all in this together. We will continue to do our best to meet the needs of children, parents, and teachers with health and safety at the forefront.

It is also inevitable to want to get involved and find meaningful ways to help others in need during these times. I have complied an extensive list of ways to donate money and/or essential items for people and animals. At this time, it sounds like monetary donations are the most helpful. Included below are some general links as well as links to some friend’s of friend’s with whom Ursula works at her other job; two people who have lost everything in Paradise, CA.
